University of Florida's research shows geraniol is more effective than DEET and Citronella at repelling insects. Geraniol has been extensively tested against other well-known insect repellents, under extremely controlled and well documented conditions with very favorable results. How to read this efficacy chart! The chart indicates the number of bites inflected by a group of insects in a given period of time–the lower the number the more effective the repellent. The "Standard", a.k.a. "Control" is the number of bites with no repellent applied. |
